Revisiting this quote from Vera Wang, I came across an article about defining success. The gentleman in the article mentioned that he would define success by having the knowledge to be grateful at the moment you are presented with having something to be grateful for.
He wrote about all the times during his journey to build his "success" that he thought what he was doing at the moment, or what happened, was not the right, or best thing, for what he was trying to accomplish. However, those very things are the moments that he learned to become resilient, to press on, and to ask questions to gain knowledge. Check out his article. It's a good read: https://www.charlottemagazine.com/along-the-way-how-do-you-define-success/
